Wide-field astrophotography captures the sky in its full context — sweeping constellations, the glowing arc of the Milky Way, meteor trails, and deep sky objects set in their stellar neighborhoods. It’s where art meets science on a grand scale.
Using simple tracking mounts or even static tripods, wide-field imaging is often where many begin — but even with experience, it remains one of the most expressive and rewarding forms of night sky photography.
The following images are my attempts to frame the sky as a whole — to show not just distant objects, but their place within the great cosmic landscape.
