Here are my first DSO images. They are captured using the Olympus E510 DSLR from my brother (thanks Bro!) with my Skywatcher N750 PDS Explorer on top of a Skywatcher EQ3 -Pro mount.
The camera was quite challenging to use. First of all the camera couldn’t be connected to any dedicated astro-imaging software. Those software utilities like APT can only control Canon (or Nikon) cameras. So session planing and dithering were no options.
Secondly the sensor had seen better days. There is an article of mine where I discuss this matter.
Either way: It was this camera and this mount that helped me getting into this wonderful hobby.
